Rivers

Ink flies from the end of a pen

Covering the page in specks of dark

Dark that opens up into light around

A single word, the perfect word

That darkens the day and unblocks the sun

It makes no sense, and is total sense

contradictions, similarities, basically

it is the universal paradox

A beauty found in marring something pure

Black on white, smudged, erased, torn

Yet a beauty that can mend the soul
