Road of Fear

The feeling left me breathless.

I felt like I was dying on the inside. No where to turn.

The horror creeped upon me like a spider in a room. I suffocated with my own breath.

The fear squeezed me tight waiting for me to scream and surrender. But I persisted on.

The road was an endless stretch beyond me. Cars zooming by in all directions. Anxiety reached me.

But I drove on. I paid attention to the signs on the road, all the exits coming up.

I took a deep breath in and mentally prepared myself to exit the freeway.

I trusted in myself and turned off successfuly. The feelings of joy overwhelmed the gripping fear that was left in my heart.

I was estatic. I was free. I had acommplished driving on the freeway and felt like I could accomplish anything.

The road of fear ended and I entered the road of freedom.
