Robot

Try

Teach me how to derive

An equation for what it means to be alive

Can’t

See, there’s no secant line

From where I am to the future I have in mind

Say,

What does it mean to be right?

A scantron bubble darkened with graphite?

Why

Don’t we turn our eyes

To those lessons and skills I can’t just memorize?

Teach

How to unfold the mind

Bridge the gaps between the varied interests of mankind

This

Is what I’ve waited to ask

A robot each night completing task after task when

Way

Too many students I know

Are learning how to imitate but not how to grow
