The Rock

Frustration and anger released,

Response inaudible,

My concerns and problems dismissed.

I pleaded for the Rock to move,

The Rock stood still.

Whether or not alone,

School, church, home.

I wanted the rock to leave,

I begged for the Rock to move.

The Rock stood still.

Persistent and annoying,

Late responses in hesitation,

“Don’t resort to procrastination”

I waited for the Rock to move,

The Rock stood still.

Contemplation and realization,

All its confidence and determination,

Love poured out would be an understatement

I admired the rock,

As the Rock stood still.

Obvious and clear,

Persistence and motivation,

Lessons on how to move around the Rock,

Willingness to comprehend.

The Rock is my mother.

The Rock stood still,

And I was moved.
