From Rocks To Gold

I hear their cries of loneliness

I wonder why people give up.

I wanted to get rid of their pain,

I've seen what depression can do.

I touch the scars made by sin,

I worry it will break me,

I cry because I think it will.

I pretend to be happy and excited,

I feel like it works

I understand why they give up,

I tell myself I won't.

I dream about a life without pain,

I try to keep fighting.

I hope that I will,

I worry that it will break me,

I am strong yet scared.
