A Role Switched Aladdin Without Happily Ever After

Cities filled with people and markets

I was trapped

No one knows how much I give

No one knows me

I need to escape from this palace

Become one of them

Thief

She was beautiful

She had no home

Only one friend

She wished for a better life

More money

I took her in

She made the palace home

She found magic

She turned into a different person

She thought she could give herself happiness

Someone else wanted what she had

She was taken away

Life with her was unfathomable

I lost her

Once again, I was alone

In this palace

Its halls now too empty

My thief, forever, gone

I don't write poetry a lot even though I really love to do it. I'm a band nerd, am in high school, failed my first driving test barely 10 minutes in, and I like music a lot. I want to be a TV/movie editor and have a passion for that field of work.
