Roller Coaster of Life
Roller Coaster of Life
You are in line for a roller coaster,
This one is brand new, you don’t know what to expect.
The line is extremely long,
You're anticipating the ride,
Anxious about what is to come.
The closer you get to the front of the line
The increasingly tense your body gets.
Feelings of fear, terror, and nervousness fill your body,
Should you leave the line,
Or stay in it and take on the ride.
Now you make it to the front of the line,
Your heartbeat increases, palms begin to sweat,
Your body feels heavy as you become increasingly more anxious.
Finally the next cart comes,
The operator tells everyone to pull your lap bar down,
He counts down from three,
Three… Two… One
Growing up is like a roller coaster,
The thought about it is nerve wracking,
But once you’re on it, you have a choice.
You can either enjoy the thrill or the ride,
Or scream and close your eyes,
Never knowing how much of an exhilarating experience it was.
