Rolling like engines that could

Today i’m in grade 10

Talkin bout great grades

My grades are great yay

Their better than yesterday

My grades in 9th grade

Were all below an A

F’s are all I made

This year is a piece of cake

They’re 75 and up

Something like C+

My B’s must be luck

Cause I show A’s the love

Improvement nevertheless

My practice can never be done

I shine just like our big yellow sun

I'm like a diamond stuck in the rough

My teachers all teach me the best

Even when i'm stressed or upset

They say not be like the rest

So yes i'm going to impress

My first teacher says to be happy

My second and third say i’m talkative

4th tells me that life can be easy

While my 5th teacher says to be pleasing

My 6th teacher says to study smarter

My track coach says to work harder

Inspiration including my father

I’m not shooting for the stars i'm shooting farther

My dream three fingers, three tries

Catch it like Odel at times

Bring it back to my parents, it's mine

Save it like a valuable dime

Like i said my grades are good

Rolling like engines that could

Writing my lyrics like books

Education for my adulthood
