The room...

I begged her to stay that day. But her light kept going in and out. I would say, what will I do? She would reply , why are you talking. In this manner? This is our time, our moment. I held her tight as she fought the sleep. But, she couldn't. I couldn't. If I could have stopped time that day. I would have. I buried that room the next week. I died eight days later. While laying in the grass. Gazing at the stars. Admiring the pen holes in the night sky. I exhaled the the last time.
