Ropes

I am exhausted by the notion I must belong to someone

Why on earth do I have to?

I want to be bold and creative and explore

But instead, you want me to keep the home nice and tidy

You have forgotten it is not 1950 and I am not your wife

I am bursting with potential

Itching to find

Something, anything

Waiting to be captivated once again

But, until then

I am exhausted by your silly need to tie me down
