Ropes of Compliancy

I say a word,

But cannot be heard.

As these ropes bind,

I become unable to speak my mind.

And so I fall silent,

I become completly pliant.

I lose all will,

For these bindings kill,

My desire to fight,

And stand strong for whats right.

My compliancy hurts,

As it disconcerts,

Will I find my voice,

Or will I lose my choice?

I must stand strong,

Though the battle is long.

For in the end,

The correct path does bend.

And I must follow it through,

Until I find what's true.
