Rose

I'm thankful for Long blonde hair

   Blue eyes like the ocean

   Skin like caramel

   Open arms

   A motherly nature

   For a caring smile

   My saving grace

These are the things I see when I see my best friend

I am so thankful for her

From the 4 A.M. phone calls

To the please stay for me’s

   I hit the bottom hard

And she's standing next to me

I go spinning out of control

And she's pulling me to safety

   I crumble into pieces

   And she’s rebuilding me.

She's the calm in my storm

And there is no body I'd rather have guiding me
