The Rose
Endure
the thorns to smell the
sweetness of the rose Endure the
tide to see the glitter of the shells Endure
the night to feel the renewed warmth of the sun Endure
the risk to experience the joy of love Beauty comes through pain
Strength comes through struggle Light comes after dark Hope
comes after despair. There is no view with out a climb
No knowledge without study No peace without war There are
No diamonds without pressure There is no gold without heat No
life without labor No spring without winter No grace without mistakes
Sometimes you have to fall before you can rise Sometimes you have to hurt
before you can heal Sometimes you have to cry before you can smile
again Sometimes you have to break before you can be made
whole Without the bitter can you appreciate the sweet?
Without the journey what is life worth? Without
the climb how is the view valued? With
out thorns who would
prize the rose?
