Rose

Location

Rose

I gave you my life and you buried it underneath
Taking away my oxygen, now I can’t breath
The ground demolished my body and has left a seed
The pain is all that it bleeds
My anger created roots that stuck me to the surface
A thunderstorm came and it gave me a purpose
The rain cut through the soil and hydrated my thirst
My strength grew stems and broke from your curse
I rose slowly and I felt the sunrays that were luminous
I started growing thorns that protected me from this universe
I didn’t have wings but my stems pushed me against gravity
I overcame the pain and changed my reality
