Rose

I

Was me

Until I wasn’t

Broken into small fragments

Crushed over and over again

Made so small I couldn’t see

How much of myself I had lost

The pieces had become so minute

That when they began scattering

The loss seemed insignificant

A mere petal

On the

Rose
