Rose
"The rose"
The rose was so beautiful and still; lived in a peaceful place
where it could be appreciated.
This rose was as red as the reddest apple
and it's leaves an emerald green.
The snow slowly falls... and flakes appear.
The immaculate rose is no longer still
but instead covered in crystal, white snow.
Winter had come. With a cool, chill breeze.
it was time for the rose to die.
To leave this stillness.
Slowly covered in white, smothered by chill, it disappeared.
The peaceful red rose was no more.
It laid in the flakes of snow, wishing it would come back someday.
