Rose

The rose that bloomed in the garden

Symbolizes the deep love that I hold for you.

The memories of us in happier days

Are slowly being ripped away from me

I desperately tried to reach for those happier days

However, I only find fragments of those memories

Although those happy, carefree days are gone

I still cling on to these precious memories

Hoping that one day, the happier days will return

The rose that grew in the garden

Symbolizes the days that we have left

The sharp thorns that shielded the rose

Grew sharper as our days began to fade away

I tried to reach out to that rose

But my fingers only met the thorns that grew sharper with each passing day.

The rose that started to die in the garden

Symbolizes the memories that had already begun to die with it

Even though I tried to hold the small fragments of memories close to me

They faded away, never to be seen again.

As the petals fell one by one from the rose

So did the happy days, slowly falling into pieces

I desperately clung to those days

However, they slipped from my grasp.

The rose that had only one last petal

Symbolized the deep love I had for you

As that petal fell

So did my love.
