Rose

So long to the red rose of our garden,

You held the joy within that hardened,

As your kids marry you watch upon them,

With the Colgate smile that always followed,

I traveled down your hallways as our memories hallowed,

Your voice sang to the world as Whitney Houston once did,

Your frail body now flies away to the clouds,

Out of misery you are but with pain we are,

Your eyes spoke when the mouth no longer could,

And now farewell to my loveliest Rose.
