The Rose and the Thorn

I am the rose and the thorn I wonder what the faces walking by hide I hear noise, surrounded by silence I see the blood after a hand grasps me. I want to be held, without giving pain. I am the rose and the thorn. I pretend to be brave. I feel alone, although surrounded by people. I touch the hearts of many a person. I worry about the grey clouds above. I cry when a hand draws back from pain, I am the rose and the thorn I understand the pain felt by these people I try to say it's not my fault. I dream to be loeved and held. I try not to hurt people as they grasp, I hope my small efforts are noticed. I am the rose and the thorn
