Rose colored-Glasses

The rose colored-glasses have slipped from her eyes,
Her smiles turn to sorrows.
Her laughter once danced like sunlight on the walls,
All the bright colors fade into the halls.

Her rose colored -glasses have been gone,
With every smile, a memory unfolds—
Of dreams lost to time, of streets turned cold.
Shall we shield our hearts from truth’s harsh light,
Or face the shadows, embracing the fight?

Shall we all stay with our rose-colored glasses on,
Or turn away when things don't go our way?
No amount of words she says makes her feel so out of it—
I’m sorry, but the rose-colored glasses have been gone for a while.

Perhaps they guard her heart, a fragile shield,
In a world where hope feels concealed.
