A Rose From Det Concrete
A rose from det concrete
From de oil to de soil
She rose
From de thorns to being torn apart
She rose
From de dirt spewed on upon her
She rose
She didn’t want to feel
Her hurt
Because it wasn’t of her own
It cut the deepest
Leaving her sleepless
Running from nightmares
Drowning from overbearing emotions
A stream of gold tears
From being fearful to fearless
She rose
From sheer neglection
To introspection to self reflection
She rose
An immense amount of lies they told
But in order to rise from det concrete
She couldn’t fold
She had to travel down det dark road
ALONE
In order to innerstand
Her purpose
She could never accept defeat
From de oil to de soil
She rose
God planted her in cement
They preyed upon her innocence
Never taking heed to God’s sentiments
From det mud
She rose
Turning her pain into wisdom
To share her scars
Det are such works of art
She rose
To rescue tethered souls
By always following her heart
From de oil to de soil
She rose
We grow
We glow
She rose
With a kindred soul as delicate as a flower…
She 🌹
