A Rose Does Not Feel

A rose does not feel It is like a metal wall Its color so bright and beautiful But firm at the touch Bitter at the taste Yet deceiving at the sight of its brilliant red petals that glaze over your eyes like Soft embers glowing with pride Thorns that smell of betrayal and hurt Shrieking like a horrified Tasmanian Devil That's been taunted, threatened A rose does not feel Like it has been unconscious for too long Lost all its senses Useless, Like a plant that's been pulled apart from it roots Short life span, There's no point A rose is a cruel beast That hunts any gullible soul down It eats happiness and gives off hatred Tortures the evil creatures that dare cut them down They fight back to defend whats theirs Grow in bushes, to protect one another Reproduce for generations Causing the world misery When all the world wants is to be adored
