Rose Givers

He came knocking at the door, I don't want to let you in but I do

There knockin ever so gently waiting for me to answer

You hold the same roses to conceal the past pleasures

Whispering in my ear stiring up hidden desire, here I go again letting you in

It's Deja vu wanting my attention but deceving my heart and emotions

Once the roses die your far away until I try to run away and there you are

Break the cycle, break the desire, burn the roses and never return.

How is it that ths demon I can't escape.

Give me your word and trust you say...holding innocent feelings for your torture.

Now I've learned to ignore the roses; temptations have been outworn

But you steadily knock, knock on other's doors with the same roses

Slowly learning roses aint shit but heartbreak colored in red dressed with a pretty bow

To the rose givers, I'm hip and I know
