Rose for her heart

I fight for her heart each and everyday

I still love her no matter what anyone has to say

I went to my garden and I see this rose

Ideas flowing in my head, but there was one I chose

The idea was to bring it to her, with nothing but joy

Not sure she would be serious, or take it as a toy

This rose was special as it beamed in the sunlight

The rose brought back memories, from our time at midnight

Through all our years there was always a rose

There was even one, when I had to propose

Through the good and bad it was our protection

To make sure our love stayed, with respect and affection

The love was gone, when the rose died

She left and said I love you, but I knew she lied

The connection I had with her suddenly decreases

As she broke my heart into a million pieces

But I knew I couldn't let her go

We were supposed to be forever, to learn and grow

But when I see that rose, it made me think of what to do

It made me realize that I still love you

When I see this rose, I feel a piece of you is in me

When I see that rose, love was something you can guarantee

I wouldn't have lost her, if I loved her from the start

But I won't give up, as I have this rose for her heart.
