Rose Petals

He loves me

with a fire burning red, blue, green

not dying, never dying.

So he says.

He loves me not

how long will this last

this couldn't possibly last

But I wish it would.

He loves me

I am beautiful. I am patient.

I am talented. I am kind.

Am I?

He loves me not

if this is meant to be love

why do I feel so small

and so insignificant

He loves me

because he has not seen

all my insecurities, all my faults

all my fears

He loves me not.
