Rose Petals

What is that look when you see me in public?

You give me this look of loathing

Chills me to the bone.

What is that look when you see me in private?

You give this look of adoration

Warms me to my heart

You are breaking me.

-------------------------------

You act like you hate me

You say the words to hurt

I know that look in your eyes.

In public you are a beast,

Thought I am always a beauty.

I am losing rose petals each time you open your damned mouth.

We all go through traumas, writing was a way to cope.
