"Rose" Time

Location

I would tell her, "Stop- but don't smell the roses"

I would tell him,"Stop- but don't smell the roses"

Their clocks tick and tock and they seem they won't ever stop

They both hear but they don't listen

Their days are numbered but they live as if that number is infinity

They won't be here much longer but they don't notice

If only I could ingrain it in their brains

To stop, if only for a second

Those roses will wilt and wither away

So will they, and yet

They continue to scroll throughout their day
