A Rose Without Thorns (a sonnet)

I have been living in days of sorrow,

Forlorn, forgotten, this life is a waste

Never thought if there is still tomorrow

Or will I just be forever in haze;

No stars at night, or a sun at daylight,

Only dark spots and shadows in the dim,

'Til I saw your face, in too much delight

Like a fresh bloom rose, that sends me a whim;

Can you stay here by my side forever?

You drive those miseries away from me,

Wishing for a miracle together,

You and I will set our spirits free;

The world being so tough on me before,

At last gave in for something I adore.
