Roses for Emily

(poems go here) RED Love, Gorgeous, Magnificent Powerful words of passion Words now dull and meaningless Hate, Hideous, Disgust Powerful words of fear Could tear the strongest person down We choose to hurt others There is never regret How could these words have more power than love? Once love is found it is the most beautiful thing Once love is exchanged you are one Only love will prevail in the end You can triumph over everything BLUE Roses are red but they are never blue You can always dream for what you want Dreaming, wishing for love but never able to Reach, that of which is already lost Left alone by family Wanting to be held but never being able to Once love was found, was thought impossible to keep Never going to let him go, only one thing to do Silence him, without a peep Though he is gone your love for him continues on waiting to meet him when you do Waiting next to him where he lies Yellow Laughing is wonderful It is the world’s greatest cure When you are sad, you laugh to get over it Though the town’s people might find it strange Their opinions of you are nothing but meaningless Show strength over their doubt of your love and happiness Bath in the sunlight Feel Joy as you wipe away the judgment The warmth of the yellow sun Pure delight as you soaks up the ribbons of light Feel the youth that was stolen by control You are free
