Rot

I see the hearts of two
Beat as one
Yet a companion for mine
There is none
And it turns yellow

I see passion's gate open
Even as the drumbeat ceases
Yet every day I die
From the heart's many diseases
And it turns yellow

I see the fire
That burns with mighty affection
But when it comes to heartbreaks ashes
I happen to have a collection
And mine turns yellow

I see the Romeo and Juliet story
Of death for loves protection
My heart has died many of times
As to it there is no resurrection
And it is yellow
