*rough draft* Shrinklit of "The Giver" by Lois Lowry

Utopia, a state in which everything is perfect

By a visionary leader who must be worshiped

He takes their memory, now they’re mentally destructive

You’d think they’re robots, because they’re always productive

At a certain age, they’re given a marque

Only one is chosen for the special part

That one is Jonas, who chooses to depart

Of the state at which has no heart

   Of feelings isn’t right

The forbid of love to make life

Or at least twice
