Rowboat

I wanted to trust you But instead I got played I wanted to dance in solstice Instead I feared the rain You brought me a headstone When I asked for a helping hand I hoped your words were written in concrete but they were written in sand I tried so many times to love you Even as your demons consumed me too I told myself we would make it through I had been left on the island you made Built on empty promises disguised as mistakes
