The Royal Queen

The Royal Queen poem by D’Vante Jerrell Chapman
Her hair flows to her feet
Beautiful Ebony Queen
Dressed in velvet lace
Royal robes, choir capes
Befitting a Queen
For her King
Sweet like blackberry juice
This Beautiful Ebony Queen
She’s as protective of her family as a lioness to her cubs
The epitome of love
A King can lead
But he’s nothing without his Queen
Crystals around her neck, diamonds in her ears
Wars may rage on for years
But in her bosom, I’m safe
With no one else I’d rather lay
Whisper affirmations
Be my inspiration
Artistic and butterfly
Describes her personality
A King married to his Queen
I claim my destiny
We sit on the throne
Our hearts have become one home
Make way
Ahead are brighter days
Because the Royal Queen
Has graced the scene
