Royal Tiger

Slowly but swiftly moving through the thick forest Your fur is a portrait of unique design Showing your ability through leaps and and sprints Barely hearing your secretive approach toward your victim If caught in your clenching jaws, there's only one escape Your eyes are marbles of a dangerous game Your claws are giants that tread lightly across the forest floor Drawn to the water by your thirst Wondering through the forest with curiosity; but this curiosity has not killed you The lesser flee and make way as if you were royalty Respected by your size Respected by your beauty Surely, you are royalty

I wrote this poem as an assignment in my Western Literature class. After I got done reading it to the class, everyone just stared at me with amazement. Then this one boy on the front row starts clapping slowly and says, "beautiful, just beautiful.".I didn't think it was all that.
