A Ruff Day

This place smells really weird,

My nose detects bleach and pee,

both permanently soaked into the floor.

Weird.

A strange girl in odd attire comes and takes me from my human, despite my efforts to hide under her chair.

I walk into a back room where this person begins to poke and prod me with pointy objects,

taking my blood, and chopping off my beautiful, long toenails.

All sixteen of them.

I’d been working on those since my last visit.

She touches my ears and, naturally, I yelp

They’ve been killing me for days.

An official looking lady in a white jacket comes over and makes some strange noises to the girl, pointing at my ears.

Oh no.

Despite my protests, the girl squirts some weird liquid in my ears, and scoops out all of the goop that has been living there.

They suddenly feel fantastic

No itch, no pain, nothing.

The girl takes me back to my human, and we leave the building.

I feel like a new dog.

I am suddenly grateful for that girl’s aid;

she clearly knows what she is doing and has a passion for helping out four-legged guys like me.

I hope to see her again in the future, maybe she’ll have a cool white jacket next time I see her.

I should have thanked her by licking her face before I left,

Because nothing says thank you for making me feel better like a bunch of slobber.

Oh well.

Peeing all over the sidewalk out front is a close second, right?
