Ruinous

They say our generation is the ruinous.

They say we have no ideals, no morals.

That we are the reason the world is how it is now.

But, what they fail to realize- what they fail to acknowledge

Is they are the ones who indirectly raised us.

Don't give us the 'back in my day' complaints and stories

Unless the end tells of you helping the world.

Don't complain to us how horrid our generation is

Not when you have left us to scavenge through the endless rubble of debt, economy, and inequalities.

In search of even the tiniest pieces of sun, that never last long

As the ridicule thrown at us crushes out the bright light.
