Ruins

Ground quakes

Ash falls

Fire pillages

As charcoal takes walls

Heat searing

Eyes stinging

Skin blistering

Hair burning

Try to outrun

But only in vain

I trip and fall

But look back and feel pain

Crumbled to ground

Reduced to rubble

Ash and smoke

Faded has the signs of trouble

And left my world in ruins.
