The Ruins of Me
Flames burning and bursting within me.
Screams echo int he darkness of my heart.
I'm in trouble, please save me.
Build these walls around me, as they protect me. Don't let them fall again, they are my only safety.
Feelings ram into me at full speed, knocking me over,
Mind starts spinning,
Confusion takes over.
Emotions take over, having complete control of me.
Heart breaks as the realization that I am not wanted, not loved.
Breathe.
Block it all out.
Lying to myself. I am fine, I will be fine, everything will be all right.
I think...I break down.
Everything crumbles and falls down around me.
My world is breaking, I am breaking.
I have to shield myself, protect myself.
This can never happen again.
Everything will always end, everything will always be ruined.
I am ruined.
