The Rumble

Flesh present, but my mind...

Lost for about a while

Absent on its own

Mindless

State of consciousness, timeless

Defenseless

Convinced that

If I give up now, circumstances won't turn pitiless

Pit and the pendulum

Cuban raw cigar and dark rum as my confidante

Sitting in Harlem, smoking on renaissance

Worn wooded floor, with tap shoes

Controlled by puppet strings, powered by Voodoo

Weakness rules

I dance for acceptance

And they throw defiance at me

Clown act, with circus mind set

Performing at carnival set back

But truth is, I can't go back

To return to nothing in the past

Only to be a mockery of it the present?

The world grows cold cold and colder

I got older and went to chase flickers

No sleep no sleep

No time no time

to lose these fading pictures

If this is my timeline

It's mine mine, my lifeline

Let me live it

Distant flickering

The island bar in the dining room of a pool house

With washed wood glowed Maroon

As the candle light from the moon

Touches my face to reveal the malice forming at my lips

Teeth scrapping with regret

But truth is...

Many days have gone pass

And still here I sit...

And wishing wont put food on the table

So can a barrow a few happy memories so I can stable

Fabless

Lying to stress

Saying

 I wont hang myself

With the cables to the phone that

I pick up

Dial tone

I hang on my perception

And every time I try to say something

 I lose connection
