Run
Run away
so you don't see me.
Run away
cuz I won't give you my dirt.
You look deep into
my soul with
your searching gaze
and my insides scream
to get up and bolt.
I want to ditch because then
I don't have to show you
my darkest parts.
Shame overcomes as I
avoid your connecting eyes
that bore with relentless
concern into my affairs.
So I want to
Run away
just run away,
let me run away
to sew up my wounds alone.
If I run away I'll beat you
to the punch.
If I run first,
you won't have to later.
No matter how good it was,
it's not worth the heartbreak
thst comes when it ends.
So you wonder where I am?
I've run away,
So I don't hurt you
and you don't hurt me.
