RUN

I thought everything was cool and sweet

my heart was at a very fast beat

came home and a slap came across my face

as hard as it came I thought he was going

to catch a case

the hollering and the cries

"I'm tired of you and your lies"

my eyes bleeding with a whip coming down my face

I never knew he was filled with so much hate

kicking and screaming for my bro but he never came

"where were you how could you leave me in so much pain"

they call it tough love, but back then

all I wanted from you was a hug

"I'm tired of the shit" I ran until I couldn't run no more

until I found an open door

that made me feel so secure
