Run

Run, they said to me. Run from all you have done.

So I ran in the woods, the wind stinging my face but still I did not stop

The branches struck me and made me bleed but still I did not stop

The roots of trees stuck up from the ground and tripped me, but still I did not stop

I could not look back for not far behind was destruction from my lies.

I could hear the branches and leaves under my feet, and behind me, but still I did not stop.

I could feel the cold hands reaching for me from behind so i could not stop

They would yell and tempt me to look back, they called my name, but still I did not stop

The birds flew away from their trees, and animals ran at the sight, but still I did not stop.

Darkness fell and they fell behind, farther and farther in the dark, but still I did not stop

Cold water meet my legs and feet, soaking me to the bone tell i was froze, but still I did not stop

I could not stop running, for if I did lies, and darkness were waiting for me.

Surly I ran that night never a moment to slow down, nor to rest.

The morning came and still I ran, from the evil that awaited me,still i did not stop.

Run they said to me, run from all you have done.
