Run
With clouded vision we run
We run anywhere and everywhere
Without a care. We run
Together, our hands interlocked
Not even the rainiest of days could make us stop
But then the fog cleared
And we stopped running
One of us was always wandering off
To a place the other one could not see
Now we run again
But not with the same glee as before
“Where are you?”
Looking behind every open door
“I know you’re there”
Wondering if the other has another
Now you’re tired
You stop running
You take a “break”
And break you do
Into tiny pieces of yourself
Falling to the floor
But before you hit the ground
They come back around
Just in time to catch you
You wonder where they have been
But with clouded vision
You run again
