To Run

It hurts,

everythig hurts,

my lungs, my legs, my muscles,

my feet drive themselves into the course.

"You can go further! Dont give up!"

But the pain? No matter.

I'll just push harder

giving this race my everything, empty the tank.

Do it for those who can't, for those who won't,

and for me, who decided long ago to be better,

to run.
