Run to the Desert

I shut my eyes,

Tilt my head back and spread my arms into the sky

Take in the desert air

The wind passes through the space between my fingertips

I open my eager eyes and ecstasy enters my every being

Flames of fire fill the rusty sky

Who could behold such beauty?

Let it wash over me and seep into my existence

I will never know a greater love than this one

Give me the desert and I will give you my heart
