Run from it

You run from it. As you run from it the sound of your heart beats in your ear like a stereo on steroids you run from it. You run from it with all the good memories of your family and friends flooding you like a tsunami rejoicing and celebrating even though it is the same thing that takes these very people away from you, you run from it. You run from it knowing that your next mistake can be your last, praying not to trip because if you do it will absorb your very existence only to drag you don to the never ending disparity hopelessness oppression and poverty you run from it. You run from it even though it is all you know He Owns Ours Destiny We run from it cause if we don't, the hood will get us all.

Repeating the words "you run from it" throughout the poem gave it a very true yet creepy vibe. You also used great imagery, and it was very enjoyable to read.
