Runaways
Wheels
Spinning and turning
Burning
The heat
Scorching my skin
My cigarette smoke
Burns through the haze
I'm lost
In a maze
Of flashing colors
Red dirt
You and me baby
No one will ever find us
Not here
You know where to find me
Runaway car
Red as sin
You'll know me
As soon as you see me baby
Red dress
Wine lips
Skin sunkissed
Just ride on
Towards west
I don't care
Just get here
Lead them anywhere
Lead them off the trail
Tell them
You'll see us in hell
But until then
Just as well
Get lost
Stay low
Just know
I'm waiting for you
Driving straight into the sun
Burning alive
Stake out
At night
Take it slow
No one has to know
No one will ever find us
You and me
We'll erase
Every trace
No one will ever remember
Our faces
Just you and me
Runaways
So
Raise a drink
For you
For me
Raise a drink
For those
Who believed
They could hold us down
Raise a drink
For those spinning wheels
You know where
And when
To find me
Just look for
The red dress
Red as sin
The wine lips
You and me
Runaways
