A Rundown World
Once I was from a run out world
Out of Time
Out of Space
Out of Love
Seeming like it was all about to end
I look out at it one last time
And see the Earth
The Sky
The New Day
It all came together
To form something beautiful
I turned away
afraid that if I keep looking
it will all end
But I looked back
and it was still there
There was still one thing,
one thing that kept it alive
Hope.
This hope dwelt in the Earth
The Sky
The New Day
As I finally turned away
It grew within me
The Hope
and the Love
With that now in me
I smile and walk away
In awe at what such a small emotion
can do to a rundown world.
