Nothing is as you thought

That life was but a dream

And now all is for naught

The hope that you were brought

Was never as it semed

Nothing is as you thought

The end is not

What it should be as we reach the final scene

And now all is for naught

This truth is something that you fought

But it is what you need

Nothing is as you thought

The truth is not what it ought

To be you scream

And now all is for naught

You hide to not be caught

But are found by truth’s horrid beam

Nothing is as you thought

And now all is for naught
