Running Away

I’ve tried my hardest, but I can never forget.
You started to run away, run because of all the regret.
Running from all the tears that were shed, from all our mistakes.
Running from all the days we argued, from all the days our heart ached.
Running  from all the days filled with joy, but that we currently hate.
Running from our jokes, all the laughs that we had.
You started running, running to forget.
You’re trying to erase all our history, but most importantly, the day we first met.
